A Message From Humpback Whales
In addition to a lifetime of listening to animals, plants, insects and the earth, Maia has twelve years of experience mentoring humans from the wisdom of nature. She likes to share some of these messages with fellow humans. The following message was received while she was living in the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. Maia was invited to assist in making a film about Humpback Whales to bring greater awareness to the Ecuadorian people of these marvelous creatures. As you can see by Maia's photos, the whales were delighted about the project and showed up each day for filming despite the challenges of limited time, access to boats, weather, and funding for the project.
What follows is the message that Maia received from the Humpback Whales near Isla de la Plata, Ecuador.
“It is time in the lives of humans to examine your individual thoughts and actions. To ask what your motives are in all that you do. Take responsibility for how you utilize and distribute energy in your lives. Ask yourself if your thoughts and actions are based on love or on fear. Be watchful of the energy you bring in to you and that which you send out. Act on love. Transform negativity and fear into love before releasing it upon the universe.
If you transform any negative energy that comes to you and you only allow the energy of love and respect to leave you, think of the changes that would occur in the lives of the people you know, not to mention how this would ripple out to others. Imagine how your life would change by this simple practice. Peace does not occur by changing your neighbor, friend or politician, it happens when humans take the personal responsibility to be peace itself. It begins at home with a peaceful heart.”
